Pulp and Paper Industry

Pulp and paper industry has been the major user of native and modified Guar gum. Mainly cationic Guar gum is being used in paper manufacturing. The major use of cationic Guar gum in paper making is at the wet end of the process. Native and cationic Guar gum can effectively be used in writing, printing and news printing papers besides kraft paper and packaging material.

SUNCOS-PG products are specialty polymers designed for use in paper manufacturing. These products are chemically modified derivatives of Guar gum, specifically Guar hydroxypropyl trimonium chloride, obtained by reacting Guar gum with a quaternary ammonium compound.

SUNCOS-PG products are especially developed to impart performance functions such as wet end additive, sizing agent and retention aid in paper manufacturing industries.

SUNCOS-PG products are available in varying viscosities, nitrogen content, degree of substitution and water dispersing properties. Detailed specification sheets are available on request. Customized products can also be developed and manufactured to suit specific needs.
